Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Collin County advocates for the best interest of children in foster care. CASA of Collin County promotes and protects the best interests of the abused or neglected children by training volunteer advocates to improve the child’s quality of life and serve as their voice within the court system. Since 1994, we have served 100% of the abused and neglected children removed from their homes in Collin County. Within 24 hours of the removal, CASA is appointed by District Court Judges as the child’s guardian ad litem. As the child’s official voice in court, CASA works tirelessly to make sure the children (and parents) receive the services needed and the child’s case moves through the system as quickly as possible. The goal is for each child to be reunited with family if appropriate or to be placed in a safe and loving forever home if reunification is not possible.

The Warrior’s Keep is a non-profit organization whose mission is to aid Veterans in the transition back to civilian life. We accomplish this by uniting Veterans and providing opportunities throughout the year to engage in outdoor adventures together. Activities such as these have been shown to increase quality of life, while decreasing feelings of stress, anxiety and depression. We at The Warrior’s Keep believe that sometime the best medicine is nature’s medicine. Our programs provide Veterans with access to outdoor activities, designed to educate and assist with the difficulties of reintegrating back to civilian life. We also host regular luncheons and socials to allow Veterans the opportunity to connect and share their experiences with other Veterans.

We are an organization founded and operated by military Veterans. All Veterans were trained to go to war but never trained to come back home. Through engaging in outdoor adventures together, our mission is to fill a part of every Veteran’s life that was left behind after active duty service. The sense of purpose and camaraderie we all felt when we served is the driving force behind The Warrior’s Keep!
